Built in 1997 this fabulous Mclaren Compound Road Locomotive was the first engine to build of this scale by Mick Cox of Rushden. The Mclaren, like all Micks engines are built to the highest possible standard and ‘Gantic’ has performed well and without fault for the past 14 Years. The Maclaren comes with a new boiler certificate dated March 2011, and has had new Boiler tubes fitted at the end of last season. Mechanically the engine is as good as the day it was first completed. The Maclaren runs at a working pressure of 200psi and is hydraulic tested to 300psi. Hydraulic Tested until 2020 – Steam Tested Until June 2012. To arrange a veiwing or to see the Maclaren in steam please contact us.

Well another great find, this 4″ Garrett is in near NEW operating condition. This engine was completed in 2003 and has the latest CE APPROVED steel boiler. The engine has had little use since completion so you can imagine the overall condition. The engine was professionally build by one of the best in the business, Bob Whitehead. The 4″ Garrett is the biggest 4″ Scale Single you can buy on the market and is as strong as it looks. Again this engine comes complete with a FULL STEAM CERTIFICATE valid until April 2012. The Garrett has a Large Ride on Trailer included within the sale price.
