We intend to have this fabulous looking engine ready for next season (2012) This engine is ‘now on the market FOR SALE’. At this stage the new owner can choose now the colour scheme and finish of this fabulous engine. The New engine will be called ‘GENIUS‘ (GNS) – We hope that either a ‘consortium’ or a ’single’ individual will buy this fabulous engine and we hope it will stay within the UK. The price has now been set and we would ask interested parties to contact us to reserve early as we expect this engine to be sold very quickly. We do not intend to make another Full Size Showmans Engine so this is a chance to own a real ‘one off’

15″ GAUGE ‘FLYING SCOTSMAN’ FOR AUSTRALIA

During the past six months we have been involved in the early stages of designing and building a 15″ Gauge (1/4 Scale) Flying Scotsman for an overseas client. To date we have supplied the complete Track Layout of which is over 3km together with a complete set of scale pullman style carriages, each capable of carrying 12 people, both children and adults.

We are currently in the process of finishing the tender, whilst we have been waiting for the Boiler to be completed by our team of Welders and Master Technicians. The Build is due to be completed at the end of October and we aim to have the locomotive operational in Sydney before the end of the year.

Trials will take place locally once the Scotsman is completed and we will release more details as the built comes to a close.

GNS START BUILDING NEW ‘FLYING SCOTSMAN’

Here at GNS we are always looking for new projects and we have have just started the first part of an 18month project to build the first NEW 15″ Gauge A3 Pacific Flying Scotsman for Export to New South Wales in Australia. We are not aware of any replica A3 Locomotives that have been build since the early 1970’s and a locomotive of this size will be a real ‘Eye-Full’ once completed. We have this week ordered the Initial Stock of materials to hopefully have the Boiler C0mpleted and signed off for approval before the end of the year.

GNS are pleased to be supporting the CF Trust…..

GNS have recently delivered the first 6″ Tasker Steam Tractor “Ciffy” to help raise funds for the trust during the forth coming years….’Ciffy’ will be on tour around the UK offering rides to children for a small donation of 50p to help raise awareness of this illness – During the Bedford Steam Show, we were pleased to be able to invite Jenny Agutter (Patron of the CF Trust) to make the handover even more special. Bernard & Jan Akin who have a daughter who suffers from this illness and who have made this possible will be spending time steaming-up ‘Ciffy’ from next year – We understand Ciffy will have it’s own website online soon and will communicate where and when it will be out & about next year……
